Support for the Trust and Online Sales
The Trust is grateful to all its sponsors who have supported us since our foundation in 1999. Support has been given through grant aid ( see Trustees & Funding page), and by voluntary work, particularly on the part of the hard-working Trustees who have devoted many hours of their busy time to progressing the work of the Trust.

We have also received a lot of support and assistance through mentoring from the various heritage bodies over the years. The Association of Preservation Trusts and the Architectural Heritage Fund have, in particular, always been there for us and we have attended their excellent seminars whenever we can and learnt a lot from them and met people with whom we have been able to share similar experiences, and benefit from their stories of success or failure. We are always happy to give the benefit of our own experience should anyone want to avail themselves of it, and this website can assist in that task.
We have also been blessed by wonderful support from all political parties in our local Council - Strabane District Council - and its officers. Things have not always turned out as we intended, due to no fault on the Trust's part, but we are sure that in the long run all our collective hopes for the future of Sion Mills, and those of the community, will be fulfilled. Partnership is our keyword as a Trust, and we particularly wish to encourage partnership between the various community and commercial bodies in Sion Mills, in order to establish and promote the village as a unique and historic attraction to visitors and tourists, and ensure future prosperity for our community, based on Industrial Heritage tourism.
